Product Description

Pro-Mix High Porosity (HP) provides a superior growing environment for plants that require increased drainage and oxygen. In addition to Canadian Sphagnum peat moss, perlite, major- and micronutrients, and dolomite and calcitic limestone, it's fortified with beneficial endomycorrhizal fungus to strengthen roots and increase plants' ability to fully utilize available nutrients. This is a compressed 3.8 cubic foot bale.

We always used Pro-Mix to sow our seeds in. It was also the base for our soil mixes when we potted up seedlings. It was a clean, safe product that we relied on to keep our plants growing healthy and disease free....that was our lively hood at stake. Well here I am ....20 years later and I find myself relying on Pro-Mix to start my seeds once again. And it is as reliable for me today , for use in my home, as it was all those years ago in the shop where I nurtured my love of all things green. The quality is still high. It drains well, is free from many of the large wood particles that many soil mixes have that make germinating seeds difficult. Another plus is, I have never experienced any mold issues with Pro-Mix like I have with some other potting mixes.
